Going up the paved cobbled path from the main road of the village, one can see the elevated paved square. An unbelievable balcony with a unique view, surrounded by shady plane trees, fountains and the imposing temple of St. Nicholas.
Vourgareli is renowned for the stone-built fountains that thirst visitors with the cold waters of Tzoumerka. Near the square are two of the most beautiful, “Archontos” and “Krystallos” . Tradition holds that whoever drinks water from these fountains is destined to get married in Vourgareli
Leaving behind the foundains, through the narrow streets, amongst the stone-built houses and after an easy hiking route, you can reach ‘Leptokaryas’ spring.
At the entrance of Vourgareli village is hidden the impressive Neraidogefyro’ (Fairybridge), in the center of the village the bridge of ‘Korais’, while on the way to Athamanio village you will see the bridge ‘Megali Vrissi’ (Large Spring). At ‘Stavros ‘ watchtower you will admire the view of Tzoumerka mountain. From there, through a magical journey through the fir forest, you can reach the chapel of Prophet Elias.
